Boulders Room - Standard Room - Wheel Chair Friendly
This ground-floor suite has been specifically designed so that it not only meets the needs of able-bodied guests but also the accessibility needs of wheelchair users or physically disabled guests. The suite was designed with the assistance of the Independent living centre and in consultation with a consultancy called Disability Solutions to ensure that it met the needs of able-bodied guests as well as most guest’s wheelchair users.
The bathroom is fitted with a roll in shower that has an extra large fold down seat (53 cm from the floor) and two grab rails, a fixed showerhead as well as an adjustable hand shower. The washbasin has its cold water tap closest to the toilet and the dressing table top is fitted directly to the wall to facilitate wheelchair access to the mirror and top of the dressing table. The toilet is 48 centimetres from the floor
A heated towel rail and under floor heating add extra luxury to our guest’s experience.
The bedroom has two twin beds or a King size bed, a special cover designed and manufactured by Sealy is used so that the join between the beds is not noticeable.
The beds are 57 centimetres from the floor and can be adjusted down by 7 centimetres and up to accommodate a hoist. The cupboard has a lower rail for hangers with doors that open 180 degrees. The room opens on to a patio that has direct access to the solar heated swimming pool.
Please note that we do not accept arrivals and departures on Christmas and New Years day.
Over the Easter period a minimum of 3 nights stay is required.
